sun, wax, feather and bones.. theres alot of stuff to learn in that myth.. about ego and fathers and not listening to what is best for us.

Favorite musical: Hadestown of course!!
My favorite myth has always been Robin Hood. There are so many variations on the story, yet it is always fresh and fun. Compare Robin McKinley’s The Outlaws of Sherwood with the BBC show Robin Hood, with Stephen R. Lawhead’s Hood series (arguably the most historically accurate, and places Robin much earlier, and in Wales), and they are all great in their own way. Adventure, love, good vs. evil, etc.
And I can’t wait to hear Hadestown. I saw Anais perform a few songs in Sacramento recently, and they were FANTASTIC!
Persephone and Demeter
I am partial the the myth of Athena’s birth. I enjoy the fact that she has dominion over all things intellectual. Born from the headache of Zeus, she sprang from his skull fully grown and in a full set of armor.
Could you please tell me if this is this open to non-US residents too?
My favourite myth has got to be the story of Perseus, and how he killed Medusa using a mirrored shield. And my favourite musical… It’s a toss up between Wicked and The Producers.
I’ve been listening to Flowers nonstop these past couple days, and I really love Anaïs’ voice and the instrumentation. It’s got such a nice feel to it.
My favourite myth is the one of Orpheus and Eurydice. That gets a mention on this album so I’d love a copy.
Forgot my mail: it’s stjarnell(at)yahoo.com
My favorite myth is Gilgamesh, King of Uruk!
[..]Should my heart not be wretched, my features not haggard
Should there not be sadness deep within me?
Should I not look like one who has been traveling a long
distance,
and should ice and heat not have seared my face!
… should I not roam the wilderness?[..]

My favorite myth is Pygmalion, who is so enamored of his art that he loves it as he would a person, and then it comes to life. Hope I win cause Pygmalion’s the coolest ever!!!!
My favourite is the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as well. Oh how I would have loved to see Anais Mitchell’s opera, only saw little parts on youtube, bet it ace. But I’m really looking forward to her new release, also cos of featuring artists like Justin Vernon and Ani Difranco.

Favorite musical: The Producers — not the movie version, but the actual musical on stage.
Favorite myth: The one about Prometheus stealing fire and getting punished for it by being chained to a rock and having his liver eaten every day.
Hi!
My favorite musical is The Threepenny Lawsuit by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill.
My fav. myth is Icarus. We all should have learned something from that, but it doesn’t seem so. It’s also one of my favorite Ani D. songs, too.
Ciao! Elena.
Favorite myth is of the story of Cadmus. Favorite musical is Bye Bye Birdie.
I’m a big fan of musicals, but I have to say that my favorites are “Wicked” and “The Light In the Piazza”. Regarding myths, again, I love them all, but esp Hades and Persephone.
