Alex Bailey: Free Music

By Brendan

I love Alex Bailey’s jazzy/doo-wop/troubadourish blend of a song, “Autumn III – Tempo Pochettino.” The rest of the album, The Four Seasons, is a much more melancholy affair, in the vein of early Iron and Wine. I also like Bailey’s earlier album, Port Angeles. Very heartfelt and intimate, I think this music would appeal to fans of Elliott Smith or Nick Drake.

Free Piano Music Downloads!

Having Enjoyed Tristan Allen’s I-V and Soothing Images by Bing Satellites, I have been on the hunt for piano music…

Alexandre Franke has several albums available for download. My favorites so far are Little Winter Concert and Echoes and Frames.

Among many other works, Marcin Brzozwski has made Chopin’s Prelude Op. 28 No. 4 available as a free download.

Not sure about BlondBlood’s artist name, but pretty piano pieces abound on his Jamendo page.

Dado’s …Cinque Pezzi Facili… (Five Easy Pieces) is gorgeous.

I also enjoyed Kendra Springer’s Hope.

Liz Lawrence’s debut album, Bedroom Hero, is currently available as a “name your price” (including free) download on her Bandcamp page. I especially like the lovely title track ballad.

Thanks to the fine people who supported a kickstarter campaign, Kimiko Ishizak’s classical album, The Open Goldberg Variations, is available as a free download here and you can also stream it on Soundcloud. If you’re inclined to support the artist, the double-disc album is also available to purchase from Amazon. The sublime rendering below is my favorite from the album…
