While I’m posting clips from Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, I must share this video from last Thursday’s episode. It’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, 500 Days of Summer) and Stephen Merchant (BBC’s The Office) joined Jimmy Fallon in a Lip Sync Battle. It really takes off about 5 minutes in when Merchant fiercely tackles Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” Fallon kicks up his heels for Aha’s “Take On Me” and Gordon-Levitt throws his entire face and body into Nicki Minaj’s “Superbass.” I love it.
Since I first posted Lorde’s “Royals” back in July (disproving NY Post‘s claim that “three months ago nobody had ever heard of Lorde”!), the New Zealand singer has become quite the phenom in the States. Even local radio stations have finally caught on to what we here at Muruch knew was a rare talent all those months ago. If you missed Lorde’s mesmeric live performance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night, you can watch the videos below. Both “Royals” and “White Teeth Teens” are featured on Lorde’s debut full-length album, Pure Heroine.
